What’s on: British Art Show 7

The British Art Show takes place every 5 years and is widely regarded as the most exciting and influential exhibition of contemporary British art. Featuring paintings, sculpture, installations, video, film and performance from 39 artists, this year’s theme In the Days of the Comet explores the idea of the comet as a harbinger of change, a measure of time and a marker of historical recurrence. Curated by Lisa Le Feuvre and Tom Morton and exhibiting until 17 April at the Hayward Gallery, the show then travels to venues in Glasgow and Plymouth.

The exhibition features a number of premieres including new films by Anja Kirschner and David Panos, and Elizabeth Price, as well as new works by Christian Marclay, Steve Claydon, Charles Avery and Tris Vonna-Michell.
